![]() It is a very small church community with a rotating cast of ministers and musicians. I looked for a new church home and found it at Unity of Asheville. I have lived in a few different places over the years and moved to Asheville three years ago. “I have been a member of Unity for almost 30 years. Truly a place of Unity, where we are reminded to live from a place of love and inspired to be our very best.” I love that the community is small and that all voices matter. The congregation shares their gifts of music, writing, art, and unique forms of meditation. The guided meditations are grounding and beautiful. The Ministers are easy to relate to, and they inspire and uplift me with messages about love, community, and peace. I felt literally at home at this place and with these people from the very beginning of discovering the church many years ago. “I love the Unity Church of Asheville because it is my spiritual home. I think attending this church really helps me to continue down the path of spiritual growth and evolution.” The people attending the church tend to be very broad minded and open to exploring new ideas. Each minister has their own way of presenting spiritual ideas which allows for every Sunday message to be unique and inspiring. We have four ministers, one for each Sunday of the month. “I really enjoy attending the Unity Church of Asheville. I always feel loved and valued when I attend services at Unity of Asheville!” They promote an atmosphere of community and acceptance for regulars and visitors alike. “I like Unity church of Asheville because it's ministers present Unity and other New Thought ideas in a spiritually uplifting and entertaining way. It is plain to see that the ministers, Luanne Algood and Robert Akers earnestly manage their own spiritual growth, and use what they learn to give great spiritual care and inspiration to every person who has the good fortune to find their way to this church.” ![]() I find the congregation to be consistent, one and all, spiritual seekers. Always good, but ever better, Unity Church has inspired me to do my very best to be likewise. This is a dynamic church that develops like a vibrant/healthy hard wood tree. “I have been a member of the Unity of Asheville congregation for nearly 20 years. “I like the simplicity of the philosophy, the inclusivity of the congregation and absence of dogma at the Unity Church of Asheville.” It is my spiritual home here in these magnificent mountains.” Unity of Asheville is inclusive and welcoming. That was about 12 years ago and now I’m a regular musician at the church.
